At The Creative Child, the mission of our dance classes is to nurture the whole child through dance. Our dance classes aim to enhance each child’s physical literacy, cognitive development, emotional maturity and social awareness. Each class follows a unique curriculum that has been designed specifically for the age group and dance style of the class. Through a combination of dance training and creative-based exploration, we hope that each child will have fun, gain confidence, hone their creative skills and foster a love for dance. It is our mission to help children develop skills that will carry them through life, both inside and outside of the dance studio.

Help the tiny tot in your life develop their strength and fine motor skills through the art of dance in this fun-filled, musical class. Our instructors utilize nursery rhythms, songs and movement to get your little one moving while you sing and dance together.

Our creative movement program introduces children into the world of dance, focused on ballet, in a nurturing and non-competitive group environment. Young participants are taught co-ordination, rhythm, and flexibility while focusing on creativity and developing their imagination. Through music and song, students are introduced to the basic elements of ballet.

Once tiny tots and creative movement kids reach ages 4 and up we offer more formal ballet classes, taught in the Cecchetti method of ballet. Students will learn tradition techniques as well as how to think about the relationship between each moving appendage and the flow of their body as a whole.

Originating in New Orleans at the beginning of the 19th century, jazz is known to combine elements of both theatrical movement and street-inspired moves.
